Great news for all you patient Dying Light fans. The second game is coming December 7th 2021.
Dying Light 2 has been pretty elusive, seeing numerous delays, but recently the developers have opened up more about how the game is progressing. The latest announcement comes with a pretty beefy gameplay trailers as well, so be sure to check that out down below.
All in all, things are looking pretty good, with a great mix of different gameplay styles.
The game takes place 15 years after the apocalypse, seeing a completely different world to the one we were used to in the first installment. Factions have emerged, and you’ll need to decide who you team up with. Want to go enforcer? You can! Peace keeper and good guy type? Well, you can do that!
As well as deciding what sort of factions you support and help, you’ll also have to decide on your gameplay style. There are choices to level up your parkour skills, melee and brute force, or stealth type abilities. These are all shown off in the trailer, and so far it looks like there’s loads of room for numerous play styles.
We can’t wait for this game to arrive, but given the reported development hell it’s been through, we would maybe hold off on pre-ordering. Instead, wait for the reviews and hands on videos to start emerging, then make your decission.
