Cyberpunk 2077 is the game that keeps on giving. In latest news, co-founder Marcin Iwiński, issued an apology for the current state of the game, saying “The console version of Cyberpunk 2077 did not meet the quality standard we wanted it to meet.”

In the video he talks about how the issues were missed, and how much pressure was put onto the day one patch. There are claims that they felt they would have it cleaned up by then, which seems pretty crazy considering how poor the end result was on base consoles.

Fortunately they have committed to fixing the game, and we can expect to see more regular updates coming out to address the issues present in the current builds. Whether or not those fixes will extend to some of the gameplay mechanics is something we will just have to wait and see.
