Is Adobe Photoshop available on Apples M1 Macs and MacBooks? Well, until today it wasn’t but good news for all you Apple Silcon users has just landed.
Adobe has announced that it now has native support for the Apple M1 Macs and MacBooks, giving users a noticeable speed boost. The new Mac app will be capable of completing tasks up to 1.5 times faster than previous generations.
Previously if users wanted to use Adobe Photoshop on the M1 Mac, they had to use Rosetta 2, a translation layer that did a remarkable job, but caused a slow down.
This is really good news for a lot of users out there, and when Adobe first announced they would be bringing native support for the new generation of Apple chips, there was a lot of scepticism. At least now users can rest easy that they shouldn’t face any compatibility issues when it comes to using Photoshop with their shiny new Macs and MacBooks.
